iMAX 2007 was developed in collaboration with the following societies: American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT).

Program Description and Audience:
This one-day symposium will highlight the latest in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. Cases will be presented by 50+ national and international experts in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular CT, CMR and Molecular Imaging. Each case will be designed to illustrate and teach a specific imaging point and how information from each imaging modality pertains to current clinical decision-making and management of coronary artery disease and heart failure. Discussion and questions will be encouraged. The masterpiece lectures will provide a review of the advance, controversies and challenges in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. iMAX 2007 is a unique case-based teaching symposium for all practicing cardiologists, cardiologists-in-training, imagers, cardiac radiologists and technicians.

Credits:
The American Society of Echocardiography is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Echocardiography designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 8 hours of CME credit toward ICAEL and ICAVL Laboratory Accreditation Requirements. ARDMS and CCI recognize ASE’s certificates and have agreed to honor the credit hours toward their registry requirements for sonographers.

The American Society of Echocardiography is committed to resolving all conflict of interest issues, and its mandate is to retain only those speakers with financial interests that can be reconciled with the goals and educational integrity of the educational program. Program Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify the latest advances in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging.
  • Recognize the anatomical and physiological basis of heart failure in patients with coronary artery disease.
  • Describe the appropriate use of various non-invasive cardiac imaging modalities in the diagnosis of cardiac disease.
  • Apply non-invasive cardiac imaging as effective diagnostic techniques for patients with coronary artery disease and heart failure.
  • Integrate the findings from non-invasive cardiac imaging into the decision-making process for managing patients with coronary artery disease and heart failure.

Registration Information:
The registration fee includes lunch, morning and afternoon breaks and continuing medical education credits. The pre-registration deadline for mailed and faxed registrations is October 12, 2007. Online registratrations will be accepted through October 29.

Cancellations:
Cancellations must be received in writing by October 12, 2007. A $25 processing fee will be charged. No refunds will be given for no-shows.
