Training Programs

Training Programs

The American Society of Echocardiography compiled the following list of training sites to help physician trainees in search of adult and pediatric echocardiography training. Each program was asked to answer the following questions:
  • Program has a formal “echocardiography” component in cardiology for fellows who want additional echo training beyond that which is part of the core fellowship. Yes or No?
  • Program has an echocardiography preceptorship program for physicians who are not cardiologists. Yes or No?
  • Program has an echocardiography preceptorship program for physicians who have completed a cardiology fellowship. Yes or No?
  • Using the ASE recommended guideline for levels of training, graduates attain the following level of training. Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3?
ASE’s recommended guideline for levels of training are based on the following:
Summary of Training Requirements for Performance and Interpretation of Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography
