NEW: DEFINITY PRODUCTION PROBLEM ANNOUNCED BY LANTHEUS MEDICAL

Lantheus Medical Imaging has notified their customers and ASE of an anticipated upcoming shortage of their ultrasound contrast product, DEFINITY® Vial for (Perflutren Lipid Microsphere) Injectable Suspension.  Details of these issues may be found in these documents released recently by LMI.  It is important to note that the FDA has extended the expiry dates for currently marketed lots of DEFINITY®, as described in the Health Care Provider Letter #1, Health Care Provider Letter #2 and QA customer letter.
