ASE 2018 Hosts Over 2,600 Attendees

The ASE 2018 Scientific Sessions just wrapped up in Nashville, Tennessee, and it was a tremendous success. Chaired by Sunil V. Mankad, MD, FASE, and Sonographer Co-Chair, Merri L. Bremer, EdD, RN, RDCS, ACS, FASE, more than 2,600 attendees, almost 50 countries, enjoyed five days of learning that were also packed with exciting networking events. ASE 2018 also welcomed investigators from 20 countries around the world who presented their original science during the meeting. Congratulations to the two investigator award competition winners on their excellent achievements.

  • 2018 Arthur E. Weyman Young Investigator’s Award Competition Winner
    Brandon Helfield, PhD, Sunnybrook Research Institute, Toronto, ON, Canada – He presented “Endothelial Cell Repair Biophysics During Ultrasound and Microbubble Sonoporation.”
  • 2018 Brian Haluska Sonographer Research Award Competition Winner
    Jason B. Pereira, RCS – Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT – He presented “Feasibility of Contrast Echocardiography to Assess Right Ventricular Size and Function.”
