PCHD Lecture Series Now Available on ASEU
A great new CME product, Lecture Series: Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, is now available on ASEUniversity. Echo Test and Teach now available
ASE and Ke Labs have collaborated to co-develop the Echo Test and Teach Application. Designed through the expert guidance of Harvey Feigenbaum, MD, FASE, and founder of ASE, this tool was produced to ensure quality and consistency of cardiac ultrasound image review as well as to educate users on interesting cases and new techniques.
Echo Test and Teach serves as a training tool to enhance the skills of sonographers and physicians in the measurement and interpretation of cardiac ultrasound images. Results can be analyzed and viewed individually or as a group. Learn more here.

Congratulations to ASE Past President, Sanjiv Kaul, MD, FASE
ASE’s past president, Sanjiv Kaul, MD, FASE, from the Oregon Health & Science University, will receive one of the American Heart Association’s highest honors. He is being named the 2015 James B. Herrick Awardee for his scientific achievements which have contributed profoundly to the advancement and practice of clinical cardiology. He is the first echocardiographer to be honored in this manner. The award will be presented at the AHA’s Scientific Sessions Annual Conference on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Orlando, FL.

ABIM Changes MOC Policy
The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Board of Directors has unanimously approved a policy change in response to concerns from program directors, society leadership and others in the internal medicine community regarding the link between Maintenance of Certification (MOC) enrollment and certification status. Effective immediately, diplomates who are meeting all other programmatic requirements will not lose certification simply for failure to enroll in MOC. They will be reported as “Certified, Not Participating in MOC” if they choose not to enroll in the program. For more information visit ABIM’s blog here.
ASE Members who obtain MOC credit via ASEUniversity or any of ASE’s Live Courses have their MOC credits transferred to ABIM free of charge.
