The first submission period of 2026 is now open.
ASE invites members to submit Guidelines and Standards Proposals that address gaps in clinical practice related to cardiovascular ultrasound, advance the practice of cardiovascular ultrasound, or update existing ASE guidelines. All submissions are reviewed by ASE leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and the needs of the cardiovascular imaging community.
Eligible proposals should clearly define the clinical gap being addressed, outline the anticipated scope and impact, and identify a diverse and balanced writing group with appropriate expertise.
ASE welcomes the submission of high-quality proposals and appreciates your commitment to supporting evidence-based practice and improved patient care.

Proposal Call Calendar
- First Submission Period: January 14 – March 31, 2026
If approved by the ASE Executive Committee, proposals received by this date could potentially begin in the third quarter of 2026.
- Second Submission Period: May 1 – July 31, 2026
If approved by the ASE Executive Committee, proposals received by this date could potentially begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
- Third Submission Period: August 1 – October 31, 2026
If approved by the ASE Executive Committee, proposals received by this date could potentially begin in the second quarter of 2027.
