Enjoy Art

  • Draw with Ed Vere Every Wednesday and Friday at 6 AM Eastern Time, UK illustrator Ed Vere is sharing a new “how to draw” live lesson on his website. So far he’s taught viewers how to draw a monkey having a massive tantrum, a super grumpy frog, and more. Tip: the videos are archived on his website after they’re shared, so don’t feel like you have to be up at 6 AM.
  • Lincoln Center Pop-Up Classroom– Every weekday morning at 10 AM you get a daily dose of creative art-making courtesy of one of the Center’s Teaching Artists, who leads families and kids in a workshop using simple materials that can be found at home.
  • #MuseumFromHome – If you’re less hands-on and more of a museum art aficionado, check out the North Carolina Museum of Art’s Friday Favorites. Or if you’re desperately missing your passport, check out Google Arts & Culture to peruse the Musée d’Orsay in Paris or the Costume Institute in Kyoto.

Enjoy Books

  • Join a Virtual Book Club – The Guardian
  • Set up a time to do a virtual book reading with a family member through Facetime, Zoom, Skype, whatever works for you.
