The Advanced Imaging Techniques: Echo Access Virtual Experience course, November 4 – 5, 2023, will focus on practical how-to techniques of advanced 3D and Strain imaging. Improved software packages have resulted in increasing clinical application of these techniques, with 3D and Strain included as part of the routine echocardiographic examination. Register here.
This virtual course will be presented in two 3.5 hour sessions (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM ET). Day one will focus on advanced strain imaging and day two will focus on advanced 3D imaging. The presentation format will be approximately one-hour for each presentation (45 minutes of pre-recorded content with 15 minutes live question and answer). A strong emphasis has been placed on practical aspects of data acquisition and analysis of raw datasets. This is an exciting, clinically applicable program aimed at the sonographer/practitioner directly involved in advanced echo imaging.
The content for this course will be broadcast on Saturday, November 4, 2023 and Sunday, November 5, 2023. All presentations, as well as the live Q&A sessions, will be recorded and made available to everyone registered beginning November 17, 2023 with unlimited on-demand access for 90 days.
Learning Objectives
On completion of the virtual course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the clinical application of advanced echo imaging techniques.
- Describe the basic principles around strain imaging.
- Improve acquisition of quality 3D datasets
- Identify imaging pitfalls affecting acquisition of speckle tracking datasets
- Perform 3D analysis to assess the left ventricle, right ventricle, and mitral valve during structural interventions.
- Perform strain imaging analysis to assess the left ventricle, right ventricle and atria.
