Author Guidelines

What follows are the guidelines we have created for our members who would like to contribute to this ASE endeavor.

  • Article submissions are open only to active ASE members.
  • All article topics should be related to cardiovascular ultrasound. Before you start writing, please email Echo@ASEcho.org, to let us know the subject matter of an article you would like to contribute so we may make sure it is appropriate. If we feel Echo magazine is not the appropriate venue for what you are proposing, we will provide feedback to help adapt the content to meet the mission of Echo
  • Once an article is submitted, it will be reviewed to see if there are any edits that need to be made. The Echo magazine staff will work with authors to make sure that the final draft of the article is to their satisfaction.
  • There is a suggested word limit of up to 1,000 words. If you have a topic you wish to write about that you feel needs more space, please email Echo@ASEcho.org in advance for pre-approval.
  • Graphics are welcome. Please submit them in a PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
  • Articles may be authored by more than one person. When submitting your article, please include a headshot and a one-sentence byline from each author. Authors may include social media information so that readers may contact them through these platforms.
  • The submission deadline is the 15th of every month. Any article received after midnight on the 15th will be held over until a future issue.
