Kerber-Kirkpatrick Ethics/Humanitarian Lecture
Sara Nikravan, MD, FASE, FCCM will present the Kerber-Kirkpatrick Ethics/Humanitarian Lecture, “POCUS at the Heart of Global Health,” on Friday, June 26. Dr. Nikravan is an Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center.
She is a recognized expert in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), perioperative echocardiography, and education, leading national guidelines and teaching on lung and cardiac ultrasound.
Edler Lecture
Theodore Abraham, MD, FASE will present the Edler Lecture, "From Hurricanes to Hypertrophy: Insights from Computational Flow Dynamics," on Friday, June 26. Dr. Abraham is ASE's Immediate Past-President and the Co-Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence, which strives to advance treatment and biomedical discovery for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy through a fourfold mission of education, research, patient care, and public service.
He founded the Hopkins Heart Hype Program at Johns Hopkins Medicine, a community outreach program screening high school and college athletes for heart disease and educating them about heart health and CPR.

Kalmanson Lecture
Philippe Pibarot, DVM, PhD, FASE will present the Kalmanson Lecture, "Low-Flow, Low -Gradient Aortic Stenosis: Redefining Risk in Complex Hemodynamics,” on Saturday, June 27. Dr. Pibarot is the Director of the Echocardiography Core Laboratory at Quebec Heart & Lung Institute.
He has authored over 800 publications and has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Annual Achievement Award of the Canadian Society of Echocardiography, the Research Achievement Award of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, and the Canadian Society Distinguished Lecturer Award.
Gardin Lecture
Keith Churchwell, MD will present the Gardin Lecture, "Where Pictures Can Paint a Thousand Words: Optimizing and Enhancing Cardiovascular Care for All,” on Saturday, June 27. Dr. Churchwell is the Immediate Past-President of the American Heart Association for 2025-2026.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Community Partners Award from the Connecticut Black Nurses Association, the New Haven National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Presidents Award, and the H. Richard Neeson, MD Award. In 2024, he was recognized by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, receiving the Wattles Award, their highest honor, for his service to the community.
Feigenbaum Lecture
Jordan Strom, MD, MSc, FASE will present the Feigenbaum Lecture, "Boosting the IQ of Artificial Intelligence: Echocardiographic Big Data and Overcoming the Generalizability Gap,” on Saturday, June 27. Dr. Strom is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory, and Director of Echocardiographic Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE), and serves as Guest Editor for the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.

Bijoy Khandheria Memorial Lecture
Abdoul Kane, MD will present the Bijoy Khandheria Memorial Lecture, “The ASEF and Putting the Guidelines to Work in Senegal,” on Sunday, June 28.
