Gardin Lecture

George A. Mensah, MD, FACC         2023 Gardin Lecturer

This endowed annual lecture is made possible through a generous long-term gift from Julius Gardin, MD, FASE, to the ASE Foundation. The Gardin Lecture takes place during the ASE Scientific Sessions. Dr. Julius Gardin has been associated with ASE for nearly four decades. He served as the ninth President of ASE (1993-1995), chaired the first scientific sessions in 1990, presented the Edler Lecture in 1997, and an associate editor for JASE for 10 years.  Dr. Gardin has mentored numerous physicians and sonographers. He has a passion for education which will be supported by this lecture series because it will provide the funding resources to bring a luminary speaker to the Scientific Sessions every year. This lecture is chosen by the ASE Scientific Sessions Program Committee. If you would like to nominate someone for the committee to consider, please email Awards@ASEcho.org.
