International Relations Advisory Group

Charge(s):

  • Work with the International Board Member representative to build ASE’s impact on the world stage and appropriately represent non-U.S. based members’ needs to the Board.
  • Focus on bringing in emerging leaders (FIT)
  • Work with the President to represent ASE to help plan the World Summit activities and select faculty representatives.
  • Members will be a liaison to a particular area of the world where they hold influence/have a relationship with the host country society.
  • Members will be an ASE Ambassador to expand ASE’s outreach and visibility in that region/country in the following manner:
    • Enhance the global perception of Cardiovascular Ultrasound and the ASE (goal specific).
    • Develop collaborative strategies with international echo-focused organizations, such as the International Alliance Partners, that would mutually benefit the ASE and the international partner.
    • Work with the International Alliance Partners in that region/country to grow engagement in ASE activities in a meaningful way.
  • Recommend Honorary FASE Candidates to the Executive Committee.
  • Liaise with leadership of society or societies in assigned region/country to recommend international faculty for scientific sessions and other ASE courses or writing groups as needed.
  • Actively recruit new International Alliance Partners. Recommend potential partner societies to the ASE Executive Committee for approval following review of credentials.
  • Develop and implement engagement events to bring together leadership from the International Alliance Partners and ASE, such as the International Leadership Luncheon at the Annual Scientific Sessions, and the ASE Membership Reception at EuroEcho.
  • 2024/2025: Grow international membership back to 21% of membership (Add approximately 500 new international members in the 50th
  • 2024/2025: Outreach of each alliance partner to have a minimum one event per year to foster echo. (Journal Club)
