Dr. David M. Dudzinski is Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and practices critical care cardiology and echocardiography at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he directed the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Cardiology Fellowship. In 2025 he became Assistant Chief Medical Officer of the Mass General Brigham Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Dudzinski’s academic interests include critical care cardiology, quality and appropriate use criteria (AUC) of diagnostic imaging, and pulmonary embolism (PE), with empiric research on imaging and prognostics in PE, and current role as national co-chair of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team Consortium research committee.
Dr. Dudzinski has been a FASE since 2019 and served on several ASE committees, including Guidelines & Standards and Advocacy, and is current Chair of the Critical Care Echo Council; additionally he has been part of Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography since 2018 and the NBE Critical Care Echo examination writing committee. He is also an attorney with expertise in biosimilars, ethics, and malpractice. Since 2014 Dr. Dudzinski has served as associate editor for the New England Journal of Medicine series Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also a 25-year volunteer for Scouting America, including serving as Chief Medical Officer and staff physician for regional and national Scouting events.
