Dr. Jone is the Medical Director of Echocardiography at Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She pioneered pediatric 3D echocardiography guidance in cardiac cath lab to reduce patient radiation exposure. Her clinical interests and research projects encompass 3D echocardiography, Kawasaki Disease, quality in echocardiography, and echocardiography in pulmonary hypertension. She is currently the principal investigator (PI) for 3D echocardiography multi-center trial, PI for the national echocardiography quality collaborative, and is the site PI for NIH funded clinical trials on multisystemic inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) associated with COVID and myocarditis. She is active in the American Society of Echocardiography to push the boundaries of echocardiograpphy and partners with industry for ultrasound probe and software developments so that patients can receive the best care in noninvasive imaging. She advocates for congenital heart disease and for noninvasive imaging in the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology.
