As a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in cardiovascular imaging, Dr. Maskatia has dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of fetuses, children, and young adults with heart disease. Since graduating from cardiology and advanced imaging fellowship in 2012, he has participated in and led numerous research initiatives, including large, multi-center retrospective studies and local prospective studies. He is particularly proud of the medical students, residents, and fellows with whom he has had the good fortune to work with during his career, many of whom are now rising stars in their respective fields. At Stanford, Dr. Maskatia previously served as associate director of fetal cardiology and associate medical director of echocardiography, and he now serves as director of the pediatric advanced cardiac imaging fellowship program.
Dr. Maskatia moved to Stanford in 2016, and now lives in Palo Alto with his wife and three children. They enjoy hiking in the nearby foothills and taking weekend trips in the area. He is an avid fan of Bay Area sports teams, including the 49ers, Warriors, and Giants.
