On October 27, ASE responded to the Office of Science and Technology Policy’s (OSTP) Request for Information on AI Regulatory Reform. ASE outlined the Society’s core principle to require physicians to maintain oversight of all AI used in clinical decision-making, with no auto-finalization, immediate override controls, and continuous monitoring. The Society also outlined additional regulatory reforms to accelerate safe, equitable AI adoption in cardiovascular imaging and across U.S. healthcare.
