On March 14, ASE submitted comments to the National Coordination Office in response to a Request for Information on developing an Artificial Intelligence Action Plan. The Society recommended four key policy priorities: (1) standardize AI terminology; (2) strengthen AI development standards through rigorous FDA approvals; (3) recognize the essential role of clinician oversight; and (4) address liability concerns.
