All translations are provided by physician and sonographer volunteers in their native languages, with the names of the translators included on the title pages of the translated documents. We invite you to use these translated documents and webinars, and share them with your colleagues.

2nd Annual Echo ASE ASEAN Features New Content

The 2nd Annual Echo ASE ASEAN will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, October 21-23, 2016. The aim of this Symposium is to provide cardiovascular practitioners with information on state-of-the-art echocardiography technology. This year, new content including a 3D and Strain Live Imaging Workshop and a session on Congenital Heart Disease, is included in the program. Course Director, Jonathan R. New Video Helps Patients Understand a Stress Echo

ASE member Sangeeta Shah, MD, FASE, Co-Director, Adult Congenital Heart Program and Director, Cardiovascular MRI at Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, and member of the ASE Advocacy Committee, developed a video for patients explaining what a stress echo is, how to prepare for the test, and what to expect when having a stress echo. Dr. Shah graciously offered to share this video with all ASE members to help inform their patients and demonstrate the value that this key diagnostic tool plays in ensuring that they receive quality healthcare. Please feel free to share this video with your patients and your colleagues. Release of this video supports achieving ASE’s new strategic goal of developing educational campaigns for patients.

August FASE Deadline Approaching

The Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) credential recognizes dedicated ASE members who have extraordinary commitment to the field. The next deadline for submission of FASE applications is August 1. If you have been an ASE member for two years, check out the criteria to see if you are eligible to apply. The criteria allow for specialists from a variety of practice areas to achieve this designation.

Applications are reviewed every other month. The deadlines for submission are February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1, and December 1.
